A Week in Gaming #16: 4/18 – 4/24

Well shit, I almost forgot to write this week’s AWiG. Call me busy, call me distracted, or blame it all on the Hulk-like rage I’ve shown this past week over fighting games, but damn I thought I was going strong with a trend of writing these every Sunday morning. A Week in Gaming #15: 4/11 – 4/17

Fifteen weeks down, thirty-seven more to go. Got some minute progress to report, but nothing major. Most of my play time has been invested in long-winded RPGs, some better than others, but I threw some RTS and some FPS in there to shake things up. Unsurprisingly, it’s those genres that I’m talking about today. Continue reading

A Week in Gaming #14: 4/4 – 4/10

Not a whole lot this week, I’m afraid. The more time certain games take to finish off, the less the end product will be for me to write about, and I’m playing some lengthy games currently. However, the accomplishment of facing down those challenges isn’t without its own problems. Just because I beat a handful of games doesn’t necessarily mean they were good. But we’ll get to the bad after the first game. Continue reading

Gems in the Heap #4: Arkedo Series – 02 SWAP!

One month of Gems in the Heap so far. Not bad by any account. Granted, the effectiveness of these articles telling people about under-the-radar games, knowing the average amount of readers I get, means I could argue I’d be better spending my time pissing in the wind, but that’s neither here nor there. That thought might just be a result of the overall mood these past couple of days, but that shouldn’t get in the way of a game review. Continue reading
